The hope of all artists - whatever their genre - is to show you different ways of seeing and experiencing the everyday. I would like to invite you, through my website, to share in the way that I see familier landscapes, places and people

I am an artist working in a wide variety of media and styles. My art is all about a love of strong colour, and especially about exploring the boundaries and possibilities presented by a single drawing or image.  Many of my paintings rework themes drawn from my life and travels in England, Ireland Spain and Italy in a way that lets me work with the interplay of shape, design and colour.

I originally trained at Leeds College of Art, and went on to work in the centres of fashion in Yorkshire and Dublin, designing clothing and consulting in the fields of colour, fabric and textiles.  I subsequently studied painting at St Martins College (now Central St. Martins College of Art & Design), London, which allowed me to develop my imagination and my passion for colour.

I now have homes in Suffolk and Yorkshire, probably two of the most beautiful settings for any landscape artist.  But I don’t just paint landscapes.  In my website I also introduce to you a selection of my paintings drawn from contemporary subjects and figures in both oils and watercolour, as well as some of my fashion drawing and textile designs.

Of course a computer display can never really reflect the scale and vibrancy of the real thing (some of them quite large!). However, I hope you enjoy what you see and are interested in seeing more (look at my portfolio links below), and perhaps purchasing my work.
